This morning at 1:53 Mahtomedi received a call for a fire in a furnace in a pool room at 11330 Irish Ave N. Due to the lack of hydrants in the area a large amount of mutual aid was required. Hugo, White Bear Lake, Stillwater, Scandia, Marine on St Croix, Lake Elmo, and Oakdale all assisted.

A Male pointed a black handgun at another person during an argument at Wedgewood park in Mahtomedi and then ran.

Early this morning authorities in Anoka County were led on a chase on 35W which resulted in a wreck and then the suspect running which led to a lengthy search.

At 13:26 on Thursday St Paul Park was called to a report of heavy smoke coming from a house. By the time they go there the house was fully involved. Early on there was a Mayday call for a firefighter who fell down the stairs. Newport and Cottage Grove assisted.
